Houston-based GHX Industrial (ghxinc.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of The United Distribution Group (udginc.com), announced today that it has acquired the assets and operations of Tennessee based Fugitt Rubber and Supply Co.
FR&S operates two branches – a 25,000 square foot facility in Memphis, Tennessee and an 18,000 square foot facility in Jackson, Tennessee.
Fugitt is a value added distributor of fluid sealing and fluid transfer products including custom fabricated industrial, hydraulic and metal hose, gaskets and other industrial products. Fugitt’s core customer base has historically consisted of steel mills, food & beverage processing plants, petrochemical plants and OEMs. Fugitt has a combined staff of approximately 40 employees between its two locations. The company was owned by Harold Gaither, who began his career with FR&S in 1968.
